Dec 2 IPA SFAI Preliminary Governance Report November 11th 2022

VERY interesting reading in the Preliminary Governance Review of the Schoolboy Football Association of Ireland.

Lots of proposals and initiatives to ensure best practice is followed with more accountability and transparency.

Let's hope this is the first page of a new road map for the schoolboys and schoolgirls game that will create a better structure and more defined pathway for the betterment of all involved in the game for all leagues and associations under the jurisdiction of the Football Association of Ireland.

This should not be an opportuntinity yto say ‘I told you so’ but more a moderination of an association ripe for improvement and a clear pathway to a new and improved SFAI.

The report was prepared by Aidan Horan and John Moriarty of the Institute of Public Administration and is far reaching and makes many recommendations that will lead to an improved structure and an association that is more accountable for its actions and that has got to be welcomed by all.
