Two issues have occurred in recent weeks re sub rules in LFA competitions
Issue 1
Subs in LFA Youth Cup are five from seven as per rule and are not roll on - roll off which we have been made aware happened in a couple of games. We can understand where the confusion may have arisen as some Youth leagues do use the roll on - roll off option but unfortunately it is not al option in the LFA Youth Cup or the FAI Under Seventeen and Youth Cups either
Issue 2
The second issue comes from the number of times a team can make substitutions. In the Senior / LOI game, each team has three opportunities in a game to make substitutions. In the amateur game, this does not apply and teams can make five from seven at any point in the game.
