LONGFORD TOWN FC SEEK OLD PHOTOS AND NEWSPAPER CUTTING FOR INCLUSION IN 2024 CENTENARY PUBLICATION

FOUNDED in 1924, Longford Town FC is fast approaching their centenary and a range of projects and events are planned.

A Centenary publication is also in the pipeline and the club is reaching out to the Football Family to assist in compiling a publication that will include old photos, newspaper articles and items of memorabilia that could be photographed and included.

The history of Longford Town FC will chronicle the successes and indeed the failures - the people who kept the flag flying in the midlands outpost and the players who have etched their name into the club's proud record.

Seamus Leavy has been tasked with the brief of compiling the book and he is anxious to make contact with anyone who might have relevant information available for inclusion.

"You never know what someone might have filed away over the years and I'd be grateful to anyone who can assist in seeing this project through to fruition," said Seamus

“The project is is to put together a history of Longford Town F.C to coincide with the 2024 centenary, so I'm under pressure to have it ready on time and all assistance would be really welcome,” stated Seamus

IF you can assist or know anyone who might have some filed away documents that could feature in the Longford Town FC Centenary book project, please contact us at:
