SINGER, SONGWRITER, X-FACTOR AND THE VOICE talent Olly Murs was a surprise visitor to the AUL Complex on Saturday where he was supporting Baldoyle United in the AFL Byrne Cup final.
The multi-talented performer is has management connections through Mark Murphy who lined out in the middle of the Baldoyle United back-four and the connections came up trumps as Murphy played a vital role in the success over Ashbourne United.
Murs has several number one hits to his name and has also topped the UK Album Charts and if he thought he could enjoy a low-key afternoon under his baseball cap, his celebrity presence went viral at the AUL Complex but he was perfectly gracious and friendly and posed for an endless amount of ‘selfies’ with delighted fans.
And, he joined in the celebrations as the men from Baldoyle collected the trophy named after the late Jim Byrne - who was also known to sing a song or two!
