Tan Me is a tanning salon with several locations around Dublin, including Mulhuddart Village, Cabra, and Crumlin. The salon stocks a wide range of Australian Gold tanning lotions, which are packed with vitamins, nutrients, and oils to provide deep moisturizing while minimizing wrinkles. The lotions contain a dark tanning complex called Biosine Complex, which promotes the skin's ability to achieve a dark tan. The salon also offers Tan Shots, a new Aloe Vera-based vitamin drink that contains Beta Carotene and Vitamins A, C, and E to condition the body to achieve a healthy golden tan.

The future is bright from Crumlin United and TanMe.ie

Carrot Sun products are also available at the salon and contain almond oil, which is rich in a natural tan-accelerating agent called L-Tyrosine. This amino acid promotes and stimulates the production of melanin in the skin upon exposure to UV rays or the sun. The salon provides various tanning tips, such as cleaning and exfoliating the skin before tanning and moisturizing the skin regularly, which will absorb UV rays more efficiently and result in faster, darker tanning. Using a tanning lotion from the salon's extensive range will double tanning results in each session and ward off fine lines and wrinkles.

Tan Me's state-of-the-art equipment includes the Porsche Sunbed P9 Series, which features UVB and P2 lamps for an extra boost of Vitamin D and allows customers to choose their own tanning intensities with Caribic or Mediterranean settings on the new touch screen display. T The Megasun 8000 Alpha features UVB and P2 lamps for an extra boost of Vitamin D, a touch screen display, ruby collagen boosters for skin rejuvenation, and the ability to play music via Bluetooth. The Megasun 7900 Alpha Deluxe features similar amenities as the Megasun 8000 Alpha but also includes a Caribic or Mediterranean setting on the touch screen display. The Megasun 7900 Alpha offers similar amenities to the 7900 Alpha Deluxe but does not have the Caribic or Mediterranean setting. All equipment provides customers with the latest, most up-to-date tanning experience and is maintained to impeccable standards by the salon's in-house Megasun and Ergoline trained sunbed technician.

If you are new to indoor tanning, you may have some questions about the process. We have compiled some frequently asked questions to help you get started:

  • Will I be tanned after the 1st tanning session? Not necessarily. The skin needs a few sessions to gradually develop the self-defence mechanism known as a tan. This process cannot be sped up. Your tan will normally develop within 3-6 sessions.

  • Is indoor tanning more harmful than tanning outdoors? No, those who tan indoors are exposed to a scientifically calibrated amount of light. When used in accordance with FDA exposure guidelines tanning beds are designed to maximize tanning without burning. Conversely, tanning outdoors is a totally unregulated environment.

  • How many times do I need to tan before I see results? We recommend an exposure schedule of 3-4 times per week to develop your base tan, approximately every other day. Once your base tan has been achieved, it will vary from person to person how often you will need to tan to maintain your desired color. All skin types are different, but typically you will need to tan at least 1-2 times per week. If you have any questions or concerns about the frequency or the best tanning schedule for you, please consult a member of staff who can advise you.

  • How do tanning beds work? The sun emits two types of Ultraviolet (UV) rays which are called UVA and UVB. Indoor tanning equipment uses powerful lamps to reproduce this UV light with a mix of UVA and UVB rays. UVA are mainly browning rays that turn your skin's melanin from pink to brown. This is your body's natural protection from the sun. UVA rays penetrate deeper into the skin than UVB, are less harmful and take a few hours to produce their full results. UVB rays stimulate your skin's melanocyte cells which, in turn, bring more melanin to the surface. These rays penetrate the skin less deeply, add a natural sheen to the skin, and take slightly less time to show their full effect.

  • Do tanning lotions/accelerators really work? Quite simply, Yes! These lotions help you tan faster, moisturize the skin, and many help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. By supplying your skin with much-needed vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and moisture, these lotions can help you to tan up to 67% better than using no lotion at all. By using lotions, you can tan faster in fewer sessions with less
