JOHN GODKIN, MANAGER of Wexford League Premier Division North End United is officially linking up with Wexford FC - but will retain his role with the Sky Blues.
In a brief statement, Godkin informed club personnel by saying: “I have accepted the role of head of football operations at Wexford FC it will be announced officially and as a matter of courtesy I want to let you all know first but will speak to you all individually in next few days .
“It's a board position and it will not impact my position as first team manager this current season! It also won't impact my association with North End United where I have invested 40 years to date.
Godkin has had a hugely successful stint with the Wexford club leading them to an FAI Junior and Leinster Junior Cup as well as a plethora of domestic Wexford League titles and cups and has also includes Oscar Traynor management duties with his league.
