HOME FARM AWARD CENTENARY MEDALS TO CHOSEN SIX
HOME FARM's Christmas night for club personnel and partners proved to be a wonderful success for all concerned.
It was a night for coaches and managers, management and supporters to celebrate a year of advance and improvement on and off the pitch.

In a year when a provincial and national title made their way to Whitehall along with international representation for the club's senior team skipper Jack McMullan there was plenty to celebrate. The Girls section was also well represented and the ever growing presence within the club included a cup double in the Metropolitan Girls League - a clear indication of all the hard work beginning to pay off and a tribute to everyone who has rowed in behind the continued development of the section as an equal alongside their male counterparts.
Club Chairman Eamonn Mahon put in sterling work behind the scenes to ensure that everyone enjoyed the occasion and the positive feedback from all quarters is an indication of a great night of entertainment and enjoyment.
A full turkey and ham dinner or roast beef alng with all the trimmings ensured the diners were well catered for throughout the evening.
Music was provided by the Mutts - who were excellent and they went down a bomb with everyone!
Also present were Brendan Menton, club honorary secretary and his wife Linda and Aidan Seery and sister Nuala. Another cohort of special guests in attendance were the recipients of the Club's specially struck Centenary Medal - recognising loyal work over many decades of services to the blue and white hoops.
While the special six were genuinely surprised with the recognition bestowed upon them, there was wholesome applause from all in attendance in appreciation of their sterling contribution to the club and indeed all have been great ambassadors for Home Farm in the many roles they have served and achieved with the club and the indeed the broader game of association football.
Des Daly, Billy Dixon, John Lyons, Brendan Dixon, Mick Grogan and Jack McMullan were all honoured with the Lee Brothers Commissioned medal as the club builds towards the centenary in 2028.
Said Chairman Eamonn Mahon: "We are delighted to recognise these gentlemen who have contributed so much to the club -both on and off the field of play. We are indebted to them for what they have done and how they have represented Home Farm Football Club. They have etched their names indelibly into the hallowed history of the club and everyone was thrilled that we could honour them with the Home Farm Centenary Medal."
Added Mahon: "The night is the club's way of recognising the many volunteers who give to much for the betterment of the club. It's a small token of Home Farm's genuine respect and we thank everyone -including partners who play such a massive role in ensuring the continued development of the club as the best footballing academy ibar none n which to nurture the talents of the youth - male and female of Dublin and surrounding environs."
