LEAGUE LEADERS MCR PUT FIVE PAST COOLANEY

In the Sligo Southern Hotel Super League MCR FC welcomed Coolaney United to Sean

Fallon Park, Cranmore Road.

The League Leagues, unbeaten in 18 previous league outings

made sure it was not unlucky 19 hitting Coolaney United for 5 without reply. Ciaran Harvey

and Adam Devaney with a goal each had MCR ahead at the break.

The second half seen a

goal each Ciaran Harvey, Donagh Crowne and ex Junior International Keith Nibbs wrap up

another precious 3 points. The Green and white of MCR FC continues to fly high with 57

points on the board with Carbury behind on 42 with two games less played MCR can only

give the title away and from their brilliant performances to date despite injuries they have

delivered and continue to deliver the highest ratio of league wins.

Arrow Harps hosted Carbury FC in Riverstown with Carbury emerging winners in an 11-goal

thriller. Carbury 4-0 Up after 20 Minutes Hat-trick From Garreth Kelly and One from Jason

Lyons. Steven Willis pulled One back For Harps before half time. Jason Lyons added his

second for Carbury, Luke Flynn added another for Harps and Jason Lyons completed his hat

trick. Arrow Harps made three substitutions and were rewarded with a goal each from Ben

Tuohy, Ryan McKenna and a second from Luke Flynn. In the end Carbury held on to take

three all 3 points, but more cause for concern to Carbury would be shipping 5 goals.

Cartron United and St John's met under the lights at MacSharry Park on Thursday night, and

it was Cartron who opened the scoring on eight minutes when Jake Hargadon calmy slotted

home to the corner from ten yards. St Johns got the equaliser their play deserved when

Darragh Mc Goldrick pounced on sixty minutes. 

This goal seemed to awaken Cartron, and they regained the lead just a minute later when

Donal Gallagher fired home a powerful header from a corner. Just three minutes later Cartron

were further ahead with Gallagher getting his brace.

St Johns made it for a tense finish when Malachy Spratt gave them a lifeline with a goal on

ninety minutes, but the hosts saw out the remaining minutes in injury time to seal the three

points.

Aughanagh Celtic welcomed Manor Rangers to Ballinafad and they shared the points in a 6-

goal thriller. Sean Bruen cored 2 and Brendan Hailstones the 3 rd goal for Aughanagh Celtic.

Manor Rangers had sharp shooter Brian Mc Donald to thank as he rifled home 3 goals in

what was a brilliant game of Football.

In the Sligo Pallets Premier League Benbulben FC welcomed Chaffpool United to Mac

Sharry Park and the Benbulben were leading by the odd goal three when disaster struck for

the pool on 25 minutes when net minder Oisin Fallon received a straight red and after this the

pool had a mountain to climb as Benbulben put to the sword final score 5-2 goals scorers for

Carrick Town came from two goals down twice to draw 4-4 against high flying Ballymote

Celtic at Dromahair’s Astro today. Leading scorer Cian Kilcoyne 2 goals, Jack Hever and

Steven Healy a goal apiece for Ballymote while a brace each from David Regan and Cormac

Smith scored for Carrick in a cracking game
